    • We sure do sell David Rio Chai.
We sell canisters, pouches and even the special anniversary tins.
If you’re in the Kelowna area, feel free to drop into the roastery.
Or if you’re in the Okanagan or Kootenays we can give you some names of cafes that resell David Rio.
Worst case scenario we can always send it out snail mail to you.

  • Hello, I have a question for you. I want to try out the french press. What kind of coffee would you recommend and what grind I should use?
    Thanks for responding.
    Gerhard

    • Great question Gerhard. When it comes to French Press it’s all about the grind. A coarser grind allows for a richer cup and really shows off the coffee’s flavour profile. We recommend one tablespoon per cup; ideally you would use 54 grams for a 12 cup french press. Once the coffee is ground and added to the press you want to add your water as quickly as possible, making sure to cover all the grounds. Let it steep for four minutes and plunge. We carry the Bodum “New Brazil” model at the roastery or you can order it online http://bit.ly/3OaT5Q As for different blends or varietals, it’s a personal choice totally up to you. We really like Baraka, our Ethiopian coffee because it’s got such a unique taste, and Jivaro Dusk from Peru tastes great any way you brew it!

  • Has Cherry Hill coffee considered getting into the Single portion or K-Cup portion packs.

    • Call us old-fashioned but we’d rather have a french press if we wanted just one cup of coffee. K-Cups are definitely a very hot trend in the coffee world, but so were clover machines and tea espresso a year ago. At this time we’re not equipped to manufacture K-Cup portion packs, and it’s not a direction that suits our fresh, roast-to-order principles.
