THE ZOMBIE UPRISING HAS BEGUN
With Halloween fast approaching and the impending threat of zombie invasion becoming a reality (too many horror movies, we know) we’re going into survival mode. So as a peace offering to the living dead Cherry Hill Coffee has decided to release our seasonal Zombie Blend. A ghoulishly delicious blend of organic Central American coffees and a hint of pumpkin spice. If there’s one thing Zombies know, it’s a good cup of coffee. Hey they may be the undead, but devouring brains is hard work, they need a little pick-me-up just like everybody else…Anyways, get some before the zombie army gets here and takes it all. Meanwhile we have some reading to do!

MAKING A MESS FOR A GREAT CAUSE
On Friday, Sept 11th Cherry Hill Coffee is raising funds for Terry Fox in a unique and slightly messy way. With many employees already participating in Sunday’s run, “we wanted to come up with another fun event for customers and friends to get involved in” explained James Calder, who is organizing the pie-toss event.
It costs five dollars to slap a pie in the face of an employee and no one is off-limits. That’s right, even the Biglow brothers are stepping to the plate for a chance to get pied by customers and staff. With the chances of retaliation high and threat of retribution predictable, Cherry Hill Coffee stands to raise a lot of money for charity.
If you want to take part, show up at the Roastery between 3.30 and 5pm for a quick lesson on the Fine Art of Pie Throwing before letting loose.
All proceeds from this event will go to the the Terry Fox Foundation.

THE LEGACY CONTINUES
Since 1981, the Terry Fox run has been a symbol of hope and inspiration. Cherry Hill Coffee will donate $1 to the cause from every ‘Marathon’ Maple Spice Latte sold during the month of September. In addition to participating in the Terry Fox Run on Sunday, September 13th, we will be doing something special here at the Roastery on the Friday before the run to raise some funds for a great cause. Stay tuned for details. We’d love your support in one way or another so join us here Friday, September 11 or run with us on Sunday, September 13 or just drop by for a latte. Remember, it all goes towards cancer research and finding a cure! The run takes place at Kelowna’s Mission Sports Field (at Lexington & Gordon Drive) with Registration at 10am.
